Plus size models have made a big impact on this years fashion week when designer Mark Fast decided to use ‘plus size’ models for his runway show.
When I say plus size girls now realise that I’m taking in fashion terms. The models were a tiny UK size 14 but were blasted with critism to steer away from the unhealthy size 0 frame that has captured fashion week in recent years.
Both the designers creative director and his stylist walked out over the row, leaving the fashion word yet again talking about the subject of size on the runway.
These girls looked healthy and filled out the knitted designs perfectly, enabling the everyday woman to relate to the clothes, most times extremley hard when hung on a skeleton. When models are actually dying off the runway, maybe it’s time to reasses fashions obsession with skinniness.
